CHASING GYPSY
GOING HOME
"Going Home" is more than just a song; it's a poignant exploration of emotions tied to Christy returning to her roots after a prolonged absence. "Going Home" is a deeply personal song for singer-songwriter (and Chasing Gypsy band leader) Christy Larsen. Going Home is a window into Christy's life, encapsulating moments of both happiness and hardship that she faced while growing up. Through her lyrics, Christy navigates revisiting her hometown, which holds a mixture of cherished memories and painful experiences.
WELL GROUNDED
Mama's Song
'Mama's Song' is a licensed pop reggae cover of the timeless 'You Are My Sunshine'. Reggae fans will recognize an intro and verse from Bob Marley's 'This Train'. This upbeat song could be enjoyed by lovers of reggae, country, pop, and children's music. Well Grounded explains: "Both songs mean a lot to me, and I've been toying with the idea of this medley for some 10 years. Dedicated to all the mamas who sang this to their kids, all the kids who had this song sung to them by their mama, and all those who have experienced love and love lost."
MOOSE WRENCH
Not My Name
Moose Wrench are a trio of lost souls from the dark places betwixt time and space that make an existential dad-bod alt-metal racket dealing with essential life issues like poor driving and man flue. Originally found wandering the Nevada desert having fled from a flock of flying monkeys, they have landed on their moose feet in Leeds to demonstrate their mid-life suffering so you don’t have to.
They started exactly a year ago at Hyde Park Unity Day in Leeds and have since played many places around Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester. in August 2023 they played Mayhem Festival in Leeds.
